Power Platform Security: Empowering Business User Enablement
Microsoft Power Platform is a collection of low-code tools designed to enable anyone to create custom business applications, automate workflows, analyze data, build websites, and develop their own copilots, AI agents, and apps. The suite includes five key products:
- Power Apps for building custom applications
- Power Automate for automating repetitive tasks and workflows
- Copilot Studio for creating and customizing AI agents, bots, and extensions
- Power BI for analyzing data and gaining insights through dashboards and reports
- Power Pages for creating and managing modern, responsive websites
Each of these products is enhanced with AI to help business users navigate and utilize them more effectively. Power Platform tools can be used independently or together to develop comprehensive solutions that integrate seamlessly across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and more. With over 1,000 connectors, Power Platform allows users to link data across various applications using intuitive drag-and-drop interfaces and natural language prompts.
While the benefits of building powerful business systems with internal data are clear, it is important for security teams to understand the shared responsibility model between Microsoft and its customers to ensure secure adoption of Power Platform. That’s where we come in.
